Chester Folk Fest - Sunday, June 14, from noon to 5 p.m.

The second annual Chester Folk Fest kicks off on Sunday, June 14, from noon to 5 p.m., at the Chester Meeting House. This year's fest will feature a lineup of 10 acts — duets, trios, and solo performers hailing from Maryland to Massachusetts — performing original compositions and arrangements in 30-minute sessions.

Music will spill out to the Green, where 30 artisans will display their wares and food vendors will be on hand. Two free mini concerts for kids by Terri Lachance will take place at the Gazebo at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Bring a picnic and a blanket or chairs to enjoy the afternoon outdoors. Attending Chester Folk Fest is free outside; donations are always welcome, though.

Those who want to immerse themselves in the Meeting House performances by getting a seat inside are advised to purchase an advance ticket now, as seats in the Meeting House are limited. Tickets are $10 per person or $20 per family, with proceeds going to the Chester Historical Society's Preserve the Mill Fund. Purchase yours now on Zeffy.com.
